LOS ANGELES, Oct. 7, 2008 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Englander & Associates announced today that veteran aviation and public relations executive Paul A. Haney will join the strategic communications and public affairs firm in November as a partner helping aerospace, airline and other travel-related companies develop and execute strategies to achieve their goals. Haney comes to Englander & Associates from Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) where he served as deputy executive director for the City of Los Angeles agency that owns and operates Los Angeles International Airport and three other airports. In eight years at LAWA, Haney's responsibilities included oversight of operations, construction and maintenance, security, air service development, and public and community relations.

Before working at LAWA, Haney spent 22 years at American Airlines and Lockheed Martin Corporation in corporate communications, business development, marketing, and airline operations. Haney has a journalism degree from the University of Kansas. He worked for Gannett Newspapers and United Press International as a reporter and bureau chief before joining American Airlines at its corporate headquarters.
