NAMIC to Participate in ITG Policy Admin Study

Opens Membership to ITG's Survey of Business Strategies, Drivers, and Experiences

TORONTO and INDIANAPOLIS, IN--(Marketwire - October 27, 2008) - Insurance Technology Group, Inc. (ITG), and the National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies (NAMIC) have announced a partnership to conduct a comprehensive survey of property/casualty carriers focused on the business drivers influencing policy administration practices and processing. The survey will determine the business context for the Policy Admin study ITG is conducting with the sponsorship of Industry Focus (Business Insurance magazine's monthly supplement for strategic decision makers in commercial insurance) and with the support of O'Brien Communications Group, LLC.

The partnership with NAMIC will include:

-- A survey beginning November 2008 of its insurance company members, which
will investigate business strategies and drivers as well as experiences
with policy administration practices and solutions. The survey will be
    conducted through one-on-one telephone interviews.
-- A webcast reporting the initial results with all survey participants by
    mid-December.
-- A summary of survey results.

ITG's study will be an in-depth intelligence-gathering on vendors and their solutions, via a detailed RFI. This will also include a detailed Due Diligence Questionnaire for determining business strength, product vision, development capabilities, ability to deliver, and customer support capacity and a demo script to allow balanced validation of key feature/function claims made by the vendors. The study will begin in January of 2009. Results will be published and available early in second quarter of 2009.

In return for their participation in the survey, NAMIC members will receive a summary of the survey results, an invitation to participate in the webcast mentioned above, and the opportunity to purchase the final study at a discounted rate. NAMIC's involvement is neither an endorsement of ITG nor a sponsorship of the study.

"NAMIC's participation allows us to reach a broader group of carriers in a key segment of the market in which much of the industry's business is conducted," said Andreja Bozovic, Managing Director at ITG. "And it will help maximize the business relevance of our study."

"This survey will help NAMIC better serve its members by providing valuable information for aligning business and IT strategies," said Bart Anderson, NAMIC's SVP of Member Services and Communications. "The depth and breadth of the ITG survey will help us provide programs and services that will better meet the needs of our members. And the results will enable us to communicate more effectively on the members' own terms."
