DES MOINES, IA--(Marketwire - November 3, 2008) - GreenMan Technologies (OTCBB: GMTI) and The Great Plains ADA Center of Columbia, Missouri are pleased to announce they have entered into a sixty month agreement for the advancement and development of solutions, particularly those related to recreational and playground areas, to promote compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The partnership will be facilitated by National Safe Surfacing Initiative, LLC (NSSI), a wholly owned subsidiary of Greenman's Welch Products subsidiary. Jim DeJong, Director of the Great Plains ADA Center, stated, "Our mission is to provide information, materials and technical assistance to individuals and entities that are covered by American Disabilities Act (ADA). The NSSI's partnerships with state school board associations provide multiple policy solutions for schools by integrating green technology, child wellness and playground compliance. We are excited about the potential opportunities this partnership creates for expanded ADA solutions."

Lyle Jensen, President and Chief Executive Officer of GreenMan Technologies, commented, "We are very pleased to be working closely with the Great Plains ADA Center and look forward to creating solutions together that can be rolled out not only in Iowa and Missouri, but in Kansas and Nebraska, which represent new markets for NSSI. "NSSI is committed to providing resources and solutions that enable our customers to meet ADA standards for their facilities, with special focus on their outdoor play and fitness areas," stated Tim Mahoney, President of NSSI. "We recognize the importance of providing accessibility to all individuals and our goal for this partnership is to work with the Great Plains ADA Center to create a 'Best Practices' model that integrates innovative education, training and technology solutions."
