Peter Meuser, Former Missile Officer in East Germany's National People's Army, Has Invented a Hydraulic Drive for Wind Power Plants (5BW)

A Wind Revolution (Translation From the Original Text Published in the German Newspaper BILD, Oct 28, 2008), (5BW)

CHAM, SWITZERLAND--(Marketwire - December 8, 2008) - E-wire -- Will this be his new launching?

The engineer from the German State of Mecklenburg-Pomerania has a revolutionary idea, the creation of clean energy with a new innovative power plant. His idea will soon be mass-produced.

Peter Meuser (64). He's reaching for the stars again. The Lieutenant Colonel in the National People's Army (former East Germany) designed the Arkana System. It is a computer simulation. The system is used to defend the coast. In case of defence the system used fighter pilots and also missiles to defend against aggressors attacking from the air and it was effective. It was so effective that the Bundeswehr (Federal Armed Forces in Germany) later continued to use it.

The Lieutenant Colonel became a civil engineer in 1990. The eco-tinkerer is available. Peter Meuser: "Conventional wind power plants do produce green electricity, but in order to function they themselves use conventional electricity."

With his company "Nordwind" (15 employees) he has developed a very innovative wind power plant. It functions using a hydraulic drive without the need for an external power source or a costly transmission.

Meuser: "Precisely the transmission is prone to breakdown in conventional power plants. Due to the constant changes in wind speed they wear out quickly. And repairing them is expensive." His power plant on the other hand absorbs powerful wind gusts, which blow against the rotor-with a hydraulic system including a pressure control valve.

Meuser's power plant is cheaper in production and in operation -- and it can moreover become a job engine. The engineer: "The prototype that will be able to produce 150 kilowatts will be ready at the end of November 2008. A second 850kW unit will be ready in December 08." The State Building Authority is examining promotion of the 60-million Euro project.
