SANTA CLARA, CA--(Marketwire - December 10, 2008) - Remoba, Inc., a leading provider of secure,
cost-effective applications for staying connected to company email,
calendar and contacts, today unveiled Version 3.0 of RemoSync, their
flagship corporate email solution which enables Exchange Server ActiveSync
on CDMA feature phones. For the first time, customers of Verizon opting
for less expensive, feature cell phones as an alternative to the
smartphone, can get Direct Push email, calendar, and contacts from their
Microsoft Exchange Server, plus be able to view attachments and tasks.
RemoSync accomplishes all this at a considerable monthly savings over the
plans associated with smartphones such as Research in Motion's BlackBerry,
Apple's iPhone and Palm's Treo/Centro.
The new attachment viewer in Version 3.0 works with Microsoft Word, Excel,
and PowerPoint, as well as PDF and text files. It lets users view document
images via several modes (page-by-page, or "Read in Text"). This version
also has a powerful task management feature that allows users to
synchronize with Microsoft Outlook, track status and priority, and modify
tasks (add, edit and delete).
RemoSync offers Exchange Server ActiveSync on over 25 of the newest cell
phones being offered by Verizon from well-known manufacturers such as LG,
Motorola and Samsung. It lets Verizon customers enjoy the immediate and
seamless mobile Outlook sync that others with more expensive smartphones
have been experiencing, but with pricing that starts at just $9.99 per
month. RemoSync enables affordable mobile productivity that can contribute
significantly to the bottom line.
"RemoSync 3.0 is a bullet-proof, full-featured, and affordable alternative
to carrying one cell phone for work and one for personal use," said Guru
Thalapaneni, president and CEO of Remoba, Inc. "By boosting the
capabilities of our RemoSync corporate email offering, now all employees,
not just executives, can stay connected to critical data on a single,
secure device."
