NEW YORK, Jan. 2, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Board of Trustees of PIMCO California Municipal Income Fund (NYSE:PCQ) (the "Fund"), a closed-end management investment company which seeks to provide current income exempt from federal and California state income taxes, announced today that they have declared a dividend of $0.077 per common share
The dividend will be payable on February 2, 2009 to shareholders of record on January 12, 2009, with an ex-dividend date of January 8, 2009.
At December 31, 2008, the Fund's net assets were $320.5 million (inclusive of market value of Preferred Stock of $150 million).
