Gerard Cok elected as Chairman

Flensburg, 7 January 2009. Since todays meeting of the Supervisory Board of
Beate Uhse AG, Ulrich Rotermund is no longer its Chairman. Following the
death of the companys founder in 2001 Ulrich Rotermund was appointed to the
Supervisory Board and became Chairman in 2004. Gerard Cok, who was elected
to the Supervisory Board at the Annual General Meeting on 16th of June 2008
and who was previously COO for 9 years, has been elected as Rotermunds
successor in this office.
