Mandatory notification of trade


April 6, 2009: Oslo, Norway, Petroleum Geo-Services ASA ('PGS' or the 'Company') advises that the Company has re-purchased $10,000,000 of nominal value of its Convertible Bonds with ISIN NO 0010402761 (the CBs) at a price of 48 percent of nominal value.
 
As of today PGS owns $55,500,000 of the CBs representing 13.9% of the total outstanding issue.
