OVERLAND PARK, KS and SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - April 16, 2009) - Secure Passage, the
leading provider of automated
security analysis and compliance solutions for
firewalls, routers and switches, today announced that in addition to
interacting with the IT security community on the show floor at RSA
Conference 2009 in San Francisco, April 20-24, the company will also be
hosting discussions on its Twitter, Facebook and
LinkedIn accounts. To spark discussion, Secure Passage will conduct two
"man-on-the-street" surveys at the conference and post the results to all
three social media venues, where members of the IT security community can
comment on the survey results as well as share information on other
relevant IT security issues.
The discussion-sparking surveys are "Virtual Firewalls: Myth vs. Reality"
and "Impact 09: How Reduced Spending is Affecting Information Security."
Virtual Firewalls: Myth vs. Reality will look at how enterprises are using
virtual firewalls in their enterprises; Impact 09: How Reduced Spending is
Affecting Information Security will reveal how the current economic
situation is affecting IT security spending and security overall. Both
surveys will poll IT security decision makers from a wide range of
industries. Results from Virtual Firewalls: Myth vs. Reality will be
released on Tuesday, April 21 at 4 p.m. PDT; results from Impact 09: How
Reduced Spending is Affecting Information Security will be released
Wednesday, April 22 between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. PDT. RSA Conference 2009
attendees desiring to take the survey can do so by visiting Secure Passage
on the show floor (booth 553) during exhibition hours; all survey
respondents will be registered to win the latest 16GB iPod touch. In
addition to being released on Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn, survey
results will be published via Marketwire and through the RSA Conference
2009 virtual pressroom.
"We are looking forward to sharing information, findings and opinions with
the IT security industry's diverse community," said Jody Brazil, Secure
Passage co-founder, president and CTO. "These relevant survey topics will
make for rich, lively discussions between us and many of InfoSec's thought
leaders, journalists, bloggers, and analysts."
