What is Judaiology? -- New Book Aims to Give Readers a Clear and Precise View About Judaism

GLENMONT, N.Y., May 1, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- For some who research religion, Judaism can be quite challenging to understand. In his pursuit to correct all misunderstanding and misinterpretations of it, author Imam Warith-Deen Umar published through Xlibris his new book Judaiology: A Study of the Science of Judaism: The Most Misunderstood Religion in the World.

The text is a comprehensive guide that offers readers an expository presentation to show that the Creator has placed signs in His creation to guide mankind, which itself has fallen from grace. It essentially aims to help people gain a clear understanding about Judaism and its relevance. From historical reviews to biblical translation disputes and the act for Jews accepting their heritage, this book will prove to be useful and corrective.

About the Author

Imam Umar, Ranking Chaplain for New York's prison system for twenty-five years, founded the National Association of Muslim Chaplains. In 1975, he became one of the first two Muslims hired as full-time Imams in prisons in America. He helped build New York's Imam's council. Umar advocated the hiring and assignment of Muslim religious workers throughout the U.S.

He traveled to Mecca, Egypt, South Africa, Senegal, Turkey, Cyprus, and Europe in his sojourn to study history, investigate world events first hand, and spread the teaching of Islam. He worked with rabbis, priests, ministers, and imams to improve the life of our time.
