Linkwell Corporation Provides Update to the Recent Outbreak of H1N1 Swine Flu

SHANGHAI, China, May 7, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Linkwell Corporation (OTCBB:LWLL) (the "Company", or "Linkwell"), a leading developer, manufacturer and distributor of healthcare related disinfectants in China, today provided an update to its shareholders in response to the recent global outbreak of H1N1 Swine Flu virus.

As a leader in Chinese disinfectant products, especially in the area of sanitizing and infection to Chinese hospitals and clinics, Linkwell is closely monitoring to the recent H1N1 Swine Influenza (flu) outbreak which was first reported at the end of March, 2009. The virus has since spread very quickly from Mexico to the U.S., Europe, and Asia. On April 29, The World Health Organization (WHO) raised its swine flu global epidemic threat level to phase 5, the second highest as a result of the increasing number of people being confirmed as infected with the virus across the globe. On May 1, Hong Kong confirmed its first case of swine flu - a patient who was traveling from Mexico via Shanghai.

As of today, no H1N1 flu case has been reported in China. However, the Chinese government has called to step up inspection and quarantine measures to prevent swine flu from entering China and ensure public health and safety. Some of implementations include:

  * Declaring swine flu a category II infectious disease. That
     means any infection must immediately be reported to government
     authorities, and gives local governments the ability to
     quarantine areas. The same category was given to SARS, which
     killed nearly 800 people in 2003;
  *  Temporarily suspending all flights from Mexico;
  * Temporarily suspending all imports of live pigs, or products
     containing pork, from Mexico and the U.S. states of Texas,
     California and Kansas;
  * Placing all medical and health care facilities and personnel
     on 24-hour alert.

Being an authorized supplier of disinfectant products to the Chinese Ministry of Health, Linkwell Corporation is fully prepared to support the government's call for prevention and control of H1N1 virus, as well as combating any potential outbreak of the illness.

"Having gained broad experiences from the SARS global outbreak of 2003, Avian Influenza of 2005, Sichuan Earthquake of 2008 and HFMD of 2009, Linkwell will contribute its effective products and knowhow whenever we are called for," said Xue Lian Bian, Chairman & CEO of Linkwell Corporation. "H1N1 Swine Influenza is a kind of virus with very low resistance and is highly sensitive to the disinfectant product. The virus can be effectively controlled by using disinfectant and insulation methods. We have actively formulated an emergency plan especially aiming at potentially affected areas, such as public communities, medical institutions, school, kindergartens, hotels, restaurants and households. We have increased our production and inventory levels for eight of our most advanced disinfectant products which can be used for the current H1N! Virus prevention, as well as to contain the further spread of virus in case of any outbreak."
