Power Integrations Announces Stock-Repurchase Program


SAN JOSE, Calif., May 14, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Power Integrations (Nasdaq:POWI), the leader in high-voltage integrated circuits for energy-efficient power conversion, today announced that its board of directors has authorized the use of $25 million for the repurchase of the company's common stock. Purchases will be made according to certain pre-determined price/volume guidelines set by the board of directors.

Between February 2008 and February 2009, Power Integrations repurchased 4.9 million shares for $100 million. The company held $152 million in cash and investments as of March 31, 2009.
