Company's President Describes How Carbon Sciences Is Able to Convert Carbon Dioxide Into Liquid Portable Fuels

SANTA BARBARA, CA--(Marketwire - May 26, 2009) - Carbon Sciences Inc.
(OTCBB : CABN ), the developer of a breakthrough technology to recycle carbon
dioxide (CO2) emissions into gasoline and other fuels, today announced that
Fox Business News featured the company during its May 21 broadcast in a
segment on recycling carbon emissions. During the interview, Byron Elton,
the company's president, described how Carbon Sciences is able to convert
carbon dioxide into liquid portable fuels.
When asked about recycling carbon emissions, Elton stated, "We have a
technology that takes carbon dioxide, and through our proprietary
breakthrough technology, turns it into portable fuels, such as gasoline,
diesel and jet fuel." Elton continued, "We believe that fundamentally the
way that we are currently obtaining and using energy is flawed and we need
to take a different approach. The important question that we face today is
how are we going to continue to provide the energy that the world needs to
maintain our lifestyles, while at the same time being good stewards of the
environment."
Elton also addressed the concern about carbon sequestration, "We think that
it is a bad idea for major carbon emitters, such as coal fired power
plants, to capture CO2 and pump it into the ground. This is an unrealistic
and dangerous solution to a very large problem. Instead, we propose to use
our biocatalytic process to recycle the captured CO2 into liquid portable
fuels that can be distributed within the existing infrastructure.

About Carbon Sciences Inc.
Carbon Sciences Inc. is developing a breakthrough technology to recycle
carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions into the basic fuel building blocks required
to produce gasoline, diesel fuel, jet fuel and other fuels. Innovating at
the intersection of chemical engineering and bio-engineering disciplines,
we are developing a highly scalable biocatalytic process to meet the fuel
needs of the world. Our solution to energy and climate challenges is to
enable a sustainable world of fuel consumption and climate stability by
recycling CO2 into fuel. For example, Carbon Sciences' breakthrough
technology can be used to recycle CO2 emitted from fossil fuel power plants
into gasoline to run cars and jet fuel to fly aircraft. To learn more about
