NIWOT, CO--(Marketwire - May 28, 2009) - The
IVI
Foundation announces the release of language specific versions of the
IVI
Getting Started Guide. Each version is focused on a particular
Application Development Environment (ADE) and includes an introduction as
well as a detailed example demonstrating the common steps to use an IVI
driver in a particular ADE.
"The release of the IVI Getting Started Guides for specific development
environments allows people to quickly find the information relevant to
their use of IVI drivers," said Joe Mueller, President of the IVI
Foundation. "It enables people to get started quickly using an IVI driver
in whatever development environment they choose."
A separate guide is available for each of the following ADEs:
- Microsoft® Visual C++
- Microsoft Visual C# and Visual Basic .NET
- National Instruments LabVIEW™
- National Instruments LabWindows™/CVI™
- The MathWorks MATLAB®
- Data Translation Measure Foundry®
- TYX PAWS
- Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0
- Agilent VEE Pro
The full IVI Getting Started Guide, which includes a chapter for each ADE,
was originally released in April of 2008 to help users new to IVI
instrument drivers get started quickly. The example provided in the guide
performs a measurement on a simulated instrument and returns the result.
