NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - June 5, 2009) - National
Cable Communications (NCC), the leader in cable television advertising
sales and marketing, today announced the promotion of Ken Little to Chief
Operating Officer. Little, formerly NCC's Executive Vice President,
Technology and Operations, joined the company in 1993, and was instrumental
in building the industry standard ad sales platforms used by cable
operators across the US.
In his new, expanded role, Little will lead many key elements of the cable rep firm, including digital
media, information technology and NCC's participation in major cable and
advertising industry initiatives. He will oversee the research, marketing,
digital sales and e-business teams as the company continues to grow new
lines of business for cable operators.
"It is hard to find one aspect of the cable ad sales business that Ken
Little didn't play a big part in building," noted NCC President and CEO Greg Schaefer.
"We are a better company and industry because of Ken's dedication and
involvement."
Little began his tenure with NCC as General Manager of the Chicago office,
followed by a stint running NCC's Midwest Region. Little was promoted to
Vice President of NCC's Interconnect Division in 1996. There, he directed
the engineering and construction of the nation's first hard-wired fiber
optic digital cable interconnects in Chicago, Detroit, and Washington. In
1999, he was promoted to Senior Vice President, Technology/Operations, and
then elevated to Executive Vice President of Technology and Operations in
2000.
Ken's 25 year career in the cable industry began in 1984 at Group W Cable
in Chicago, where he held posts including VP Sales and Marketing, VP
Strategic Planning and Programming, and Senior Vice President. Launching
Rahimi & Little Consulting in 1990, Little worked with a broad set of major
enterprises including Westinghouse, General Aerospace, Discovery and NBC.
