Omnicity Lines Up Another Acquisition

RUSHVILLE, Ind., July 13, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Omnicity Corp (OTCBB:OMCY), the Midwest's largest fixed Wireless Internet Service Provider (WISP), advanced its plan to become the premier consolidator of the WISP industry by establishing terms with partners of East Allen High Speed Internet to acquire the business and network infrastructure of Hoagland, Indiana based EAWiFi. The addition of EAWiFi will allow Omnicity to extend its reach further into underserved areas in northern Indiana. Greg Jarman, CEO of Omnicity, said, "Reaching this understanding with principals of EAWiFi allows us to look forward to an important addition to the Omnicity network, adding a strong customer base and lots of additional market opportunity in a strategic region that adds coverage to the north of our current network."

EAWiFi began operations in 2006 by bringing broadband services to the rural underserved areas of Southeast Allen County and Northern Adams County in Indiana. The partners of EAWiFi brought services to this area of Rural Indiana where dial up was the only choice at the time. Omnicity plans to add additional towers and higher speeds to the EAWiFi network to make it WiMax compatible and plans to add Voice-over-Internet Protocol (VOIP) and Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) throughout the coverage area over fiber optic and WiMax wireless technology. This transaction will represents the sixth acquisition in the last three months since the Omnicity became publicly listed in February 2009.
