SOUTH MILWAUKEE, Wis., July 17, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Bucyrus International, Inc. (Nasdaq:BUCY) announced that Deepak T. Kapur has been elected as a new Director to its Board of Directors. The appointment becomes effective July 20, 2009 with Mr. Kapur being a member of the class of directors whose term expires at the Company's 2010 Annual Meeting of Stockholders.
Mr. Kapur serves as the President of Navistar Inc.'s Truck Group, the nation's largest combined commercial truck, school bus and mid-range diesel engine manufacturer.
Mr. Kapur is a graduate of the Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi, Stanford University and Carnegie Mellon University. He is a member of the Society of Automotive Engineers and the American Society of Quality and serves on the Board of the National Association of Manufacturers.
