NEW YORK, Aug. 4, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Dow Jones Indexes, a leading global index provider, today announced component changes in the Dow Jones China Broad Market, Dow Jones Shanghai, and Dow Jones CBN China 600 indexes.
Zhejiang Xinhu Venture Investment Co. Ltd. (Real Estate, 600840.SH) will be removed from the Dow Jones China Broad Market, Dow Jones Shanghai and Dow Jones CBN China 600 indexes due to its acquisition by Xinhu Zhongbao Co. Ltd. (Real Estate, 600208.SH).
China Petroleum Jilin Chemical Engineering & Construction Co. Ltd. (Construction & Materials, 600546.SH) will replace Zhejiang Xinhu Venture Investment Co. Ltd. in the Dow Jones CBN China 600 Index.
No new component will be added to the Dow Jones Broad Market and Dow Jones Shanghai indexes at this time.
The changes in the Dow Jones China Broad Market, Dow Jones Shanghai and Dow Jones CBN China 600 indexes will be effective as of the open of trading on Friday, August 7, 2009.
