ORANGE, CA--(Marketwire - August 14, 2009) - Insight Integrated Systems (IIS), a division of
Insight Investments Corp., the industry experts in technology solutions and
financing options, today announced that it has teamed up with NetApp to
organize and sponsor a charitable fundraising golf event for local foster
youth organization called Just In Time (JIT). The private event will be
held on August 28, 2009 at Pelican Hill golf course in Newport Beach,
California. The companies will also donate 30 laptop computers to the
organization.
JIT is a non-profit organization based in San Diego with a mission to help
transitioning foster youth become productive members of society by
providing crucial resources, guidance, and hope, thereby breaking the cycle
of child abuse, homelessness, and crime among this underserved population.
As longtime successful technology business partners and corporate citizens
of the southern California community, Insight Integrated Systems and NetApp
have teamed up to benefit this important organization.
"Just In Time is an outstanding local organization that is making a
difference in the lives of the foster youth in our community," said Chris
Aliberti, vice president of Sales, Insight Investments, Corp. "As a local
provider of technology services, solutions and financing options we feel
strongly as a company about being involved in the community and we are
proud to be able to help further this important cause."
All donations from the charity event and the laptop computers will go to
JIT. The organization has helped hundreds transition out of the foster
care system and into the community by providing everything from basic and
emergency needs, housing assistance, job training and educational support.
"We are so grateful to have Insight Integrated Systems and NetApp involved
with our organization. We are looking forward to the upcoming event and
the laptops will be tremendously useful for the young adults going on to
school or out into the workforce," said Kathryn Vaughn, President of Just
In Time. "There are so many young people in our community who come out of
foster care at the age of 18 and need some extra support to get out on
their own. Our hearts are warmed by all of our volunteers and good
corporate citizens like Insight Integrated Systems and NetApp."
Tom Mendoza, vice chairman of NetApp, will be the opening speaker at the
first annual charity golf event for JIT. Mendoza dedicates his time to
helping NetApp customers, partners and sales teams realize the value that
NetApp storage and data management solutions deliver. He is a highly
motivational speaker, having served as keynote for organizations all over
the world, including the U.S. Marine Corps, and often speaks about
corporate culture and leadership.
