Critical Solutions' Renewable Energy Tower, Mojo, Plays Key Part in CERMUSA Technology Presentation for NIOSH


ASHBURN, Va., Oct. 7, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Critical Solutions Inc. (Pink Sheets:CSLI), the designer of renewable energy tower systems, today announced that the Company's Mojo unit was showcased by CERMUSA, the Center of Excellence for Remote and Medically Under-Served Areas, in a Technology Presentation for the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH).

White Door's Mojo unit, shown by Mission Critical Solutions, was used by CERMUSA to demonstrate the efficacy of using a renewable power station in an extended emergency deployment situation. The Mojo provided power for a rapidly deployable mesh network and gateway as well as an elevated mounting surface for point-to-point wireless links, increasing both signal strength and throughput. The demonstration was a key deliverable to a grant CERMUSA received from NIOSH in 2008.

The event also included attendees from the United Mine Workers of America (UMWA), the Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA), and the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP). During this demonstration, CERMUSA's Mobile Communications System (MCP) was driven to the top of a 200 foot ridge above the mine to serve as a link to the outside world. Wired and wireless communications extensions were installed.
