Increased production permit granted to NovaCast subsidiary, CamitoTechnology
Center.

Doubled volume and permit for nightly operations granted by County
Administrative Board.

NovaCast Technologies' subsidiary Camito Technology Center has been granted a
permit for increased production from 10.000 to 20.000 tonnes per year. The
County Administrative Board of Skåne has also granted a permit to melt iron and
steel in the new foundry during the night

When the specially designed Camito Technology Center opened in April 2008 its
management applied for permits for increased production, as well as for
conducting melting operations at night. After extensive consultations and
several measurements of environmental values, the permits have now been granted.
A demand for obtaining these permits was that business activities be conducted
within environmental and noise limits.

These permits will allow an increase in production of Camito castings as well as
castings to the wind power industry when the market eventually picks up from its
currently pressed condition. For Camito this will mainly mean the possibility
for increased deliveries and services regarding Camito die shoe castings to
customers in the near Northern European market.

Great efforts were put into minimizing as far as possible the effects that the
foundry, which opened on 8 April 2008, would have on the environment. Among
others, all energy used by the new melting furnaces is generated by wind power.
As a result Camito Technology Center is one of the most environmentally friendly
foundries in the world.

Investments have been made in new dust filter equipment, cyclones and baghouse
filters according to the latest BAT technology in order to substantially
decrease emissions of the foundry's process gases.

Noise from the foundry activities is estimated to be below regulations set by
The Swedish EPA. The foundry has also been equipped with extensive equipment to
decrease noise and vibrations and ensure minimal disturbances in the vicinity.

The foundry follows first of all the principle of product choice in The Swedish
Environmental Code in its choice of chemical products. Consumption of raw
materials and energy is, besides the environmental aspect, also an important
part of, as well as the driving force in the company's operations economy.

Camito Technology Center was quality certified in accordance with ISO 9001 and
received ISO 14001 environmental certification during 2008.

NovaCast Technologies, listed on the OMX Nordic Exchange (NCAS B), develops and
markets enhanced castings for the production of car body parts, as well as
software for methoding, simulating and process control for more efficient
production processes to the global automotive industry and its subcontractors.
With the Camito technology enhanced castings are manufactured in one solid piece
for the production of dies for forming stamping automotive body components in
a considerably shorter time than traditional dies. Through die manufacturer
SwePart the group has expertise within the whole value chain for the production
and sales of stamping dies.
