WARRENVILLE, IL--(Marketwire - November 12, 2009) - BP Products North America Inc. announced
today that BP Global Fuels Technology (GFT) has been certified by the
National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation (NATEF) as the newest
Continuing Automotive Service Education (CASE) training provider. Having
met the strict requirements for CASE certification, BP's online fuels
training course -- FuelCertification.com -- is now the only CASE-certified
fuels training program.
"BP has always been committed to providing the highest quality fuels
training to automotive technicians," said James Simnick PhD, BP technical
advisor and member of the U.S. Department of Energy Freedom Car Technical
Team. "The recent CASE certification takes our commitment to the next level
and establishes FuelCertification.com as the industry's top fuels training
Web site."
Launched earlier this year, FuelCertification.com offers auto technicians
and passionate auto enthusiasts the chance to learn more about the
properties and performance benefits of gasoline, diesel and biofuels, while
also providing insights into fuel blending and refining. This training
helps auto technicians better understand fuel-related problems and answers
the questions their customers ask about different types of fuels.
The entire course takes approximately three hours to complete, but the save-
as-you-go feature allows participants to finish training at their own pace,
as their schedule allows. Interested participants need to register before
advancing to the four training modules. Each module is narrated, which
allows participants to follow along by both reading and listening to the
training content. A brief quiz immediately follows each module with a
comprehensive exam at the conclusion of the training. Those who
successfully complete the course will receive CASE CEU credit, a
certificate of completion in the mail, and the title, 'BP Fuel Certified.'
Registrants also receive email training updates as changes to fuels
technology information occur.
