SAN DIEGO, Dec. 14, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Ken Konstanzer has been named associate vice president of sales for public programs at American Specialty Health Incorporated (ASH). Konstanzer joins ASH to help the company develop opportunities to directly contract with federal and state agencies.
Prior to his position at ASH, Konstanzer was the national director for government channels at BodyMedia. In this role, Ken led a team focused on all governmental entities in the areas of wellness, metabolic disorders, stress management, and performance excellence.
Previously, Konstanzer worked in various sales and marketing roles for Texas Instruments, Siemens, The Conference Board, and NDCHealth (National Data Corporation), and has over 20 years of experience in business development, sales management, consultative selling, and strategic planning. He has successfully cultivated and sold large business initiatives at Walter Reed AMC, The U.S. Military Academy at West Point, NY, the Department of Health and Human Services, The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and numerous other government agencies. His expertise in working with executive-level medical officers and senior government officials makes him a valued addition to the ASH sales team.
A retired Commissioned Officer and helicopter pilot, Konstanzer served in the United States Army and Army Reserves for 30 years. He graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point and has graduate degrees from Houston Baptist University and Emory University's Goizueta Business School. He and his family reside in Atlanta, GA.
