Early in life, the author was blessed to have met her husband, give birth to two children, and have four grandchildren. However, the biggest trial in her life was about to happen. She suffered from multiple illnesses for over seven years, and this phase taught her the harsh side of life. During the highs and lows in her life, she found that she was able to express her thoughts through poetry. Maintaining a positive outlook, she was able to complete her collection of poems, Sunshine on a Cloudy Day.

About the Author
Arlene Maybloom's life began in 1942 in Brooklyn, New York. She got married at the age of nineteen and raised two children -- a son and a daughter -- with her husband.
During the past seven years, the author has survived from a mini stroke, ovarian cancer, and a double pneumonia with many medical complications necessitating a medically induced coma for a couple of months. While she was struggling for life, her husband, family, friends, and God gave her strength, blessings, and prayers. She is now fully recovered; happily retired with a wonderful family and blessed with four grandchildren.
