WHAT: 'Be an Angel for Our Kids is Canyon Acres' annual holiday
campaign.
Through the end of the year, Canyon Acres is accepting
unwrapped gifts and gift cards for children and families in
the agency's care. Funds raised will support Canyon Acres'
cutting-edge programs like Creating Family Connections (CFC)
and Foster Care & Adoption.
During times like these, when there is widespread economic
hardship for so many, the sad truth is that the needs of
children and families continue to increase and support from
the community is needed more now than ever!
Individuals and corporations can also make cash donations at
www.canyonacres.org.
CFC searches for and engages long-lost family members of
children who have been in the child welfare system for many
years. Since its 2004 inception, CFC has located 3,545
family members and has connected 1,601 of those family
members to youth in the agency's care. Foster & Adoption
services are dedicated to finding children a healthy, happy,
Forever Family.
WHO: Canyon Acres Children and Family Services has been serving
children throughout Southern California since 1980, providing
the highest level of care and therapeutic treatment to
children who suffer from a variety of emotional and
psychological disorders. Canyon Acres gives children
nurturing, treatment, and opportunities that they need
to grow up in safe, loving, and stable families.
