Metiscan, Inc. (Pink Sheets:MTIZ) subsidiary Taptopia appears to be well on its way to being that provider in the vast trade show market. The company seems to have built an app that enriches the experience for attendees, exhibitors, and the convention hosts. Last month, we were attentive to the fact that Taptopia set up at the "trade show of trade shows" where we believed the ideal demographic of potential customers would be introduced to this new trade show tool.
What we wanted to see following that introduction was follow-through, traction, success. If this morning's news is any indication, they appear to have it.
Metiscan announced today that the U.S. Poultry & Egg Association has chosen Taptopia to provide its official Digital Show Guide iPhone App for the International Poultry Expo 2010 and International Feed Expo 2010, scheduled January 27-29, at the Georgia World Congress Center, in Atlanta, Georgia.
We think this is a watershed moment for MTIZ as it's both proof of concept and a working model wrapped in one. With this successful expo behind them, Metiscan will have validated their efforts thus far to some degree and garnered a case study to prospect with further.
