SAN MATEO, CA--(Marketwire - January 25, 2010) - FinancialForce.com
(http://www.FinancialForce.com), the new cloud accounting company formed
with investment from Unit 4 Agresso and salesforce.com, has announced that
Telegraph Media Group has selected its solutions for use in its media sales
department. FinancialForce Accounting will automate this busy department's
largely manual invoicing and accounting processes and will integrate with
the Group's existing salesforce.com CRM solution to give a single view of
the Group's advertising sales and subscription management data. In
addition, FinancialForce Accounting will produce invoices, create all
accounting entries and automatically pass them into the Telegraph's
enterprise resource planning (ERP) software, Agresso Business World, which
is also part of Unit 4 Agresso.
The Telegraph Media Group is the multimedia publisher of the Daily
Telegraph, the UK's biggest-selling broadsheet. Its other titles include
telegraph.co.uk, The Sunday Telegraph and The Telegraph.
The Telegraph Media Group's selection of FinancialForce Accounting supports
its strategy to move many of its business systems into the cloud via
salesforce.com's Force.com platform while keeping its core Agresso ERP
solution on site. An additional advantage of FinancialForce Accounting is
that, for the first time, non-financial users of Agresso can access a
360-degree view of the financial data held against customer accounts in
real time and in read-only format.
Jeremy Roche, CEO for FinancialForce.com, said: "FinancialForce Accounting
has been developed so it is easy and cost effective to implement and can
help larger organizations like the Telegraph move elements of their
accounting process into the cloud without the need to remove or replace
their entire ERP solution. In signing this deal with Telegraph Media Group,
we have demonstrated something significant: that cloud and on-premise
applications can coexist happily and deliver quantifiable benefits to
organizations of all sizes. In this case, FinancialForce.com is essentially
acting as accounting middleware, providing a link between the cloud and
on-premise applications selected by Telegraph Media Group."
Paul Cheesbrough, CIO for Telegraph Media Group, said: "The advertising
sales process is an important part of our business, and it's key to ensure
the accurate billing of advertisements placed across all of the Group's
products and services. Salesforce.com is the core platform that underpins
this process, and we selected FinancialForce.com to link our sales and
financial process together. We expect to gain significant process
improvements from creating this linkage, and more importantly, we're
seeking to provide our clients with increased levels of service. The fact
that FinanicalForce.com natively works with both salesforce.com and Agresso
ERP was another major reason for the decision."
