CHICAGO, IL--(Marketwire - May 12, 2010) - MorrisAnderson is excited to announce that it has recruited Terry Bartz to head its Minneapolis office, which opened in March. As a managing director of the firm, he will manage client engagements and business development in Minnesota, as well as Iowa, North Dakota and South Dakota. Terry has extensive experience with helping companies restructure and optimize operations in a variety of industries, including information technology, telecommunications, call centers, software, staffing and service outsourcing, real estate development and commercial construction.

Bartz has a strong legal background, as well as extensive experience in turnarounds and re-engineering organizations for optimal performance and value. While he began his career as a business and litigation attorney, he transitioned into an operations management role upon entering the enterprise software applications industry. In this role, he gained valuable experience in developing business models and sales growth strategies, as well as overseeing marketing, finance, customer service and capital-raising initiatives.
Before joining MorrisAnderson, Bartz acted as chief operating officer of a leading provider of outsourced human resource services. Originally brought on to diagnose and correct operational challenges within the company, Bartz quickly moved from executive vice president of operations to chief operating officer after implementing changes that increased revenues by improving employee morale and customer retention. Previously, Bartz also worked as a consultant, providing interim senior management and general corporate counsel for companies seeking to manage or establish high-growth environments, as well as implement turnarounds and restructurings.
Bartz has a bachelor's degree in business from Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minn., and a law degree from Hamline University School of Law in St. Paul, Minn., where he graduated cum laude.
