MINNEAPOLIS, MN--(Marketwire - May 20, 2010) - MediaBeacon, Inc., a leading provider of rich media solutions, today announced seamless integration between the MediaBeacon R3volution Digital Asset Manager and Google's new Cloud Storage solution. As an invited partner of Google's at the sold-out Google I/O conference, MediaBeacon is showcasing this new integration along with how the Google Web Toolkit enables the solutions widget-based user experience as part of the Google Sandbox at the conference.
By integrating with today's newly announced offering by Google, it allows MediaBeacon to prepare content for delivery and then on a triggered event instantly make huge bandwidth available for download. Media files are some of the largest and most bandwidth intensive content on the internet. This will be used by the U.S. Navy to distribute content to global media outlets on a closely timed basis.
"Almost four years ago today MediaBeacon made a decision that in hindsight was nothing short of picking the right lottery numbers. While we love Flash and Silverlight, MediaBeacon identified the danger of depending completely on plug-in technologies at our core. We prefer using standard tools to proprietary plug-ins that fundamentally replace the browser. To provide our amazing new GUI interface we turned to the Google Web Toolkit. This allows us to create websites that run natively in the browser using tools created by Google to ensure openness, scalability and performance. That decision now allows us alone among all of our industry to deliver iPad, iPhone, and HTML5 interfaces to our customers," states Jason Bright, CTO/Founder of MediaBeacon.
