"Returning to the art world was very much a spiritual awakening," says artist Stephen Winer. "For the first time in nearly two decades I knew I was living my purpose. Waking up each day and going to the studio is a gift and knowing that people enjoy and appreciate my work is incredibly affirming. I look forward to participating in these festivals and sharing my art with the masses."
At each of these festivals Winer will showcase his two distinct collections, "The Pieces Series" and "The Bird Series."
"The Pieces Series," a sophisticated body of work entirely handmade from wood. "The Pieces Series" is just that; a series of varying pieces in different shapes and sizes that together create an intriguing wooden sculpture. As each piece is placed, the structure and artist's instinct determines what shapes should follow. This method guarantees no two sculptures will ever be the same and allows the process to be organic. Once construction is complete, Winer finishes it with his signature "Black Copper" painting technique to give each sculpture the mystique of cast bronze. "The Pieces Series" comes is a variety of sizes and interpretations, from interactive floor sculptures, to table and wall displays.
"The Bird Series" showcases Winer's whimsical side. Each imaginative design has its own personality. The birds bring a smile to one's face, adding a creative dimension to any interior surrounding. The Bird Series is available in elegant pedestal designs along with a selective amount of floor standing models. The sculptures playful design and names, including "Crackers" and "Wild Thing," bring joy and color to any interior environment.
