Parenting Magazine Launches New iPhone Application on The Zumobi Network

SEATTLE, WA--(Marketwire - June 8, 2010) -  Zumobi, a leading mobile media company, and Bonnier Corp.'s Parenting Group today announced the launch of the Parenting Ages & Stages application, bringing one of Parenting's most popular magazine features to life on the iPhone and iPod Touch. In addition to providing moms with the most targeted information on child development and parenting milestones, the app is customizable for each user, delivering relevant news and advice based on a child's age.

"Our new Ages & Stages app was developed to provide moms with age-targeted tips, research and relevant news that they can access anytime, anywhere," said Rachel Fishman Feddersen, editor-in-chief of Parenting.com. "This app fits perfectly with The Parenting Group's goal to deliver the most targeted, relevant information to moms when they need it most, and is one of many ways that we plan on using mobile technology to expand our content offerings for today's tech-savvy moms."

With the Parenting app, millions of parents now have the latest parenting advice, news and content at their fingertips. Users can download the free app and immediately begin customizing it with their children's photos, names and ages. By customizing the app with a child's birthday, parents will receive targeted news articles and specific information for that child's age. The interface of the Parenting app also allows for easy navigation and lets users quickly scan and scroll through content and read news stories.

"As the number of moms using smartphones continues to grow, we want to provide our readers with access to our content in an easily digestible format delivered straight to their mobile phones," said Greg Schumann, Vice President and Group Publisher of The Parenting Group. "This new app replicates the highly targeted media strategy that we've developed for our print and web properties, and offers compelling sponsorship opportunities for advertisers looking for the most effective ways to reach our audience."

"As a nationally recognized, award-winning publication, Parenting is the unparalleled leader in producing compelling information for moms. The Parenting Group's mission to bring targeted content to a mobile audience is perfectly in-line with our expertise in delivering high-quality, innovative and engaging experiences to smartphone users," said Ken Willner, CEO of Zumobi. "Parenting is a great partner for us as we expand our lifestyle category on The Zumobi Network, reaching more household decision-makers."

The Parenting Ages & Stages app is available for free on Apple's App Store and as a part of The Zumobi Network, the leading publishing partner for top media companies. The Zumobi Network offers a variety of entertaining, informative and useful mobile media applications to enjoy on next-generation smartphones.
