CONSHOHOCKEN, PA--(Marketwire - June 25, 2010) - Booth #410 - AlliedBarton Security Services, www.alliedbarton.com, the industry's premier provider of highly trained security personnel, continues their tradition of sustainable practices through a donation to a local organization at BOMA's 2010 International Conference and Every Building Show® www.bomaconvention.org/boma2010 held June 27-29, 2010 at the Long Beach Convention & Entertainment Center.
In lieu of a traditional trade show booth, AlliedBarton has purchased furniture to use in its exhibit space that will be donated to the Habitat for Humanity, www.habitatla.org, in Greater Los Angeles at the close of the show. The donated furniture will be available for sale at Habitat for Humanity's Home Improvement Store, www.shophabitat.org/shophabitat/org.htm, which was established to provide a self-sustaining funding for Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles.
"Instead of a traditional trade show booth, we have again purchased furniture, which we will use in our exhibit space and donate the furniture to Habitat for Humanity after the show," said Michael Coleman, Vice President, Commercial Real Estate, AlliedBarton Security Services.
"We have reduced our organization's carbon footprint by eliminating the shipping, labor and costs normally associated with the shipment of a large trade show booth across the country," Coleman continued. "We are proud to support BOMA's sustainability initiative, as well as our own, with this effort and to support Habitat for Humanity, whose work helps many families in need. This is our fifth consecutive BOMA show where we've been able to support a local non-profit organization with a large furniture donation."
Security Industry Speaker News:
"Security's Role in Disaster Planning" is the topic of an education session presented by AlliedBarton's Vice President of Learning & Development, Rich Cordivari, at BOMA on Sunday, June 27th at 3:30 p.m. in Room 102B. This session is part of BOMA's "Achieving High Asset Value in a Down Market" track.
"Emergency planning, disaster response and crisis management require a mix of training, practice and experience," said Cordivari. "Your security provider should play an important role in preparing for the unexpected. Security officers are often the first responders to an emergency, and trained security personnel is critical. It is important for you to know that your building, customers, clients and employees are protected and that your emergency plans will be executed calmly and effectively. Being prepared can help minimize the loss of property and life and also allow the building and security staff to provide the best service to tenants and visitors."
AlliedBarton, booth 410, is proud to support BOMA and is the only security company who is a BOMA Corner Stone partner.
