Semcon signs order worth SEK 150 million in Germany

A German automotive manufacturer has chosen Semcon as its partner for
derivative car development. The combined order amounts to around SEK 150
million and the project will run for a duration of three years,
involving several Semcon sites.

The project is starting now and manpower will gradually increase over
the autumn to reach full manning in 2011.

“After a very turbulent time, we are now seeing increased activity on
the market in terms of enquiries for new car projects. Although lead
times are longer than before, it's pleasing that we can report that
we've won a major order,” says Stefan Ohlsson, President of the
Automotive R&D business area.

“The order is also proof of our combined skills and experience in
complete automotive development, and the benefit of our local presence
with the ability to utilize the global company's overall knowledge,”
concludes Ohlsson.
