60 Lives Assisted at Stanbridge College's Quarterly Blood Drive


IRVINE, CA--(Marketwire - July 20, 2010) -  Stanbridge College teamed with the Red Cross in another successful blood drive on July 13th, 2010. Students, faculty, staff & neighbors came together to donate a total of 20 units of blood, which according to the Red Cross will assist in saving up to 60 lives.

Every two seconds someone in the U.S. needs blood and almost 5 million Americans receive blood in a single year, according to the Red Cross. Stanbridge College hosts four blood drives per year as part of its mission to build lifelong engaged learners through community service. The students, faculty and staff commit their time, energy and talent to meet urgent and everyday needs in the community. They have contributed to such organizations as the Free Wheel Chair Mission, Habitat for Humanity, Girls Hope -- Boys Hope, Doctors Without Borders & local soup kitchens.
