"CTIC recently announced that it signed a manufacturing agreement with NerPharMa DS, a pharmaceutical manufacturing company belonging to Italy-based Nerviano Medical Sciences S.r.l., for CTIC's candidate pixantrone. According to the report, the five-year contract between CTIC and NerPharMa provides for both the commercial and clinical supply of pixantrone, which is being developed for the treatment of relapsed or refractory, aggressive non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL). CTIC announced in June that the Italian Medicines Agency (AIFA), the national authority responsible for drug regulation in Italy, has approved the facility at NerPharMa for the production of pixantrone. The Company intends to file for marketing approval for pixantrone in Europe later this year."
