Who's In or Out at the Festival of Arts? 2nd Annual Festival Runway Fashion July 31st From 1-4pm

LAGUNA BEACH, CA--(Marketwire - July 26, 2010) -  One of the hottest events last summer was the Festival Runway Fashion Show (sponsored in part by Arbonne) and it's back this summer by popular demand on Saturday, July 31st from 1 - 4pm. The event, a take off of TV's hit show Project Runway, will feature talented Festival artists' eco-friendly fashion designs, a DJ spinning tunes as the models strut down the runway and three top judges. Come see a fashion show where creativity and ecology collide.

Festival artists as a group or as individuals have been given the challenge of creating an outfit out of at least 80% recycled materials. They will face a panel of celebrity judges whose sense of fashion and style rivals that of Heidi Klum and Michael Kors! Bringing a bit of LA to Laguna are celebrity judges actress Joely Fisher and artist Andre Miripolsky. Laguna's voting voice will be heard through arts commissioner, fashion executive and artist Suzi Chavel

This is a competition for bragging rights! Last year's winning team of Barbara Hendricks and Luciano Bortone wouldn't reveal much about this year's entry, but they know the pressure is on to repeat a win! "We have been collecting materials all year long. Now it's time to 'make it work' as Tim Gunn would say," laughed Barbara Hendricks. Along with Hendricks and Bortone, competing for the top prize are artists Dagmar Chaplin, Bradley Elsberry, Rick Graves, Mike Tauber, team David Milton and Janet Lewis, and team Adam Neeley and Troels Larsen.

Just as elusive and mysterious as Hendricks was about her entry, 2009 second place winner Bradley Elsberry had this to say: "This year I am having even more fun collecting my materials and using this 'manna from heaven' that just falls down from the sky around here. I don't mean from birds. Just come see what we have been up to. I know the show will be full of amazing creativity and rare, dare I say, beauty."

At stake for the artists are ultimate bragging rights, and also $1,000, $500, and $250 in cash prizes. Will the artists be up to the challenge to create a successful outfit? Are they ready to face the critiques of judges as they showcase their creations? Come and find out and vote for your favorite for the "People's Choice Award." Plus, anyone who votes for the "People's Choice Award" will get a delicious cupcake from Charmed Cupcakes.
