- Entuity® today announced a revolution in the network management industry by bundling tightly integrated flow analysis into the newest release of its award-winning solution, Eye of the Storm® (EYE) Enterprise 2010 SP2. Operations personnel can quickly pinpoint both where the network is overloaded and what's causing it to optimize network business value and enterprise application productivity.
- This latest version integrates all the requisite, contemporary network management functionality -- from auto-discovery and inventory, to fault and event, to elemental and flow-based performance -- that reduces the expense of managing distributed infrastructures for business benefit. This new capability is available to EYE customers at no additional charge in the latest product service pack.
- EYE Integrated Flow Analyzer (IFA) technology is a short time span diagnostic and troubleshooting functionality integrated into the base EYE management product providing the ability to characterize and understand IP traffic presenting flow-based performance data alongside EYE's traditional elemental performance metrics. EYE's IFA technology runs on existing EYE servers, dramatically reducing typical system footprint and eliminating the biggest drain on system resources associated with traditional NetFlow solutions. IFA can also be deployed as distributed flow connectors for increased scalability and performance.
- Also included in EYE Enterprise 2010 SP2 is the new Branch Office Perspective in EYE's unique InSight Center™ -- a business-centric dashboard designed to automate, simplify, and reduce the operational costs for companies having distributed network locations or branch offices. Highly interactive with actionable graphics and a variety of drill-down reports, the Branch Office Perspective helps IT managers quickly assess and improve branch office connectivity to help avoid lapses or reductions in branch office productivity due to a lack of network capacity.
- EYE Enterprise 2010 SP2 further automates and simplifies multi-server administration to reduce operational expense by adding the capability for complete EYE account management through a web browser. EYE administrators can control all aspects of EYE access including options to modify user passwords, tool permission for groups, user/group permissions, and account/password expiry management through a web UI.
- A host of improvements in EYE Enterprise 2010 SP2 including configurable data retention periods, additional threshold-based events in the custom poller, new interactive charts in the TopN dashboard, and extensions to server uptime monitoring and reporting are in direct response to the contemporary needs of customers keeping Entuity the leader in next-generation, value-focused network management.
