ShoreTel Expands Operations With New Office Facilities in Austin, Texas

SUNNYVALE, CA--(Marketwire - August 17, 2010) -  ShoreTel® (NASDAQ: SHOR), the leading provider of brilliantly simple IP phone systems with fully integrated unified communications (UC), today announced the opening of its new regional office in Austin, Texas. In a ribbon-cutting ceremony on August 18^th, visitors, business partners and city dignitaries will have the opportunity to see the state-of-the-art facility and enjoy snacks and refreshments while celebrating with ShoreTel employees and other guests.

The strategic location and modern design of the new facilities will allow ShoreTel to better serve its rapidly growing customer base, and support the company's expansion plans as its market share in the IP-based communications market continues to increase.

NEWS HIGHLIGHTS

• The ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place on August 18^th, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the new ShoreTel facility, 6500 River Place Blvd, Building IV, Suite 200.
• In addition to the ribbon cutting by ShoreTel CEO, John W. Combs, Austin staff will host a site tour and provide refreshments to visitors and guests.
• As ShoreTel continues to open new offices abroad and add headcount, the Austin facility is where the majority of employee growth will occur. ShoreTel currently has more than 90 employees in Austin, and expects that number to double over the next two years.
• The Austin offices currently house almost 30,000 square feet of space dedicated to engineering, customer service, training and development jobs, and ShoreTel expects that number to continue to expand.
