Mundus Group, Inc. and UAV VTOL Drone Subsidiary - AirStar International Prepare to Launch a New Mine Searching UAV

MOORPARK, Calif., Sept. 1, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Mundus Group, Inc. (Pink Sheets:MNDP) and UAV VTOL Drone subsidiary - AirStar International prepare to launch "Angel of Mercy," a new Mine Searching UAV to be equipped with Thermal imaging and Ground Penetrating Radar technologies that can detect mines buried beneath soil and vegetation growth.

AirStar's New Industrial Drone UAV SL 4.0 (Super Lift) CamCopter was chosen for the mission because of its workhorse reliability and aerial stability. Still in the testing and feasibility stages, AirStar's dedicated mine searching Angel of Mercy uses a no nonsense high performance multi-task UAV VTOL Industrial Drone that is the choice of professionals and government agencies. AirStar Industrial Drones have been used by government agencies with an array of new technologies including a keen interest to be configured with Ground Penetrating Radar, Thermal and Infrared imaging.

Mundus is seeking interested groups that will bring our capabilities to the areas of the world where every 19 minutes another child is killed or maimed due to land mines. UN reports claim it could take 300 years to find all the mines that were planted and forgotten in the world.

AirStar has built UAVs for the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, Northrop Grumman and government agencies that were configured with thermal and infrared imaging and high definition cameras for surveillance search and rescue with potential ground penetrating radar for searching for underground tunnels and infrastructure integrity.

"Mundus believes that this same technology can apply to mine seeking and is one of many unique opportunities that AirStar will be able to introduce to the world. The fact that the economy has gotten tougher means that downsizing all current technology to cut the enormous expense of a manned helicopter is smart business and Mundus Group is creating new markets for AirStar's world-class UAV delivery systems. Whatever technology currently carried on board a manned helicopter has saturated the market and has nowhere to grow but getting smaller. Those technologies that miniaturize will survive and flourish in the new UAV inner space era," said Keith Michael Field, Mundus Group Chairman

AirStar is famous for its contributions to the movie industry with a legacy of world records and star-studded clientele, which include George Lucas' Super Bowl commercial, Steven Spielberg's Paulie a Parrot's Tale, commercials, documentaries and feature films from National Treasure to the Terminator. AirStar has built Camera ships or contracted services for: ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, Disney, Warner Bros, Paramount, Universal Studios, and Dream Works.
