Arise Windpower and Svevia AB conclude 5-year agreement on infrastructure works

PRESS RELEASE Halmstad, 24 September 2010

Under the agreement Svevia will carry out at least half of the land improvement
and infrastructure works that will be required for the implementation of Arise
Windpower's planned expansion over the coming five-year period. The expansion
plans envisage the construction of a further 250 onshore wind turbines by the
end of 2014, in addition to the 50 turbines that are already operational or
under construction. The cost of the infrastructure works for the planned
expansion is estimated at SEK 800 million.

“This deal will make Svevia Sweden's leading partner for the construction of
new wind turbines. We are very proud that Arise Windpower has chosen us as
their partner. We are pushing the door ajar for the new market created by the
need to adjust to climate change,”P-O Wedin, CEO of Svevia AB, says.

“We have now engaged Svevia in three projects and we are very satisfied with
their work. Svevia has lived up to our tough standards on quality, cost
efficiency and a fast pace of construction in the projects. Expanding our
partnership to cover a larger portion of our planned expansion in southern
Sweden is therefore a natural next step,” Peter Nygren, CEO of Arise Windpower,
says.
