VIRGINIA BEACH, Va., Oct. 4, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) subsidiary AMSEC LLC has been awarded a contract by the U.S. Navy for support in program management, project and systems engineering, logistic engineering, general engineering support and testing and integration support.
This indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity, cost plus fixed fee contract contains a base period with four one-year option periods, which if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of the contract to approximately $10 million.

AMSEC's work will be performed primarily at the Naval Surface Warfare Center in Philadelphia. If all options are awarded, the work is expected to be completed by October 2015. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division, Philadelphia Detachment is the contracting activity.
