Arizona Lottery Lounge Rolls Out Red Carpet for the 2010 Arizona State Fair


PHOENIX, AZ--(Marketwire - October 15, 2010) -  The Arizona Lottery rolled out the red carpet for players and fair attendees when the Arizona Lottery Lounge debuted at the Arizona State Fair this morning. Located at the entrance to the Arizona Lottery Backyard, the Arizona Lottery Lounge is a nightclub-like atmosphere for ages 21 and older, complete with a red carpet, bouncer and a disco ball.

The Arizona Lottery Lounge offers guests VIP access to some of the Arizona Lottery's most popular games and provides opportunities for players to win a variety of prizes. Tickets for all Arizona Lottery games are for sale next door to the lounge at the Ticket Trolley, which is open Wednesday through Friday noon to 9:30 p.m., and weekends 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Guests who purchase $5 in Mega Millions tickets will receive one spin at the prize wheel, and a $20 purchase will award players with a prize wheel spin and an Arizona Lottery t-shirt. When Millionaire Raffle takes center stage for its public launch on Nov. 1, guests purchasing a $20 Millionaire Raffle ticket will receive one free Powerball ticket, a t-shirt and a spin at the prize wheel.

"The Arizona Lottery Lounge is like nothing we've done before," said Jeff Hatch-Miller, executive director of the Arizona Lottery. "The nightclub-like atmosphere is fun for veteran and new lottery players alike and is a perfect fit for the excitement of the Arizona State Fair." 

This year's State Fair marks the 64th consecutive celebration for Arizonans. On average, more than 1.1 million people visit the State Fair each year. Closed Mondays and Tuesdays, the fair will open Friday, Oct. 15, and end Sunday, Nov. 7. Ticket and ride packages can be found online at www.azstatefair.com.
