BEIJING--(Marketwire - November 2, 2010) - ARC China, an investment firm focused on domestic consumption‐oriented high‐growth enterprises in China's rapidly developing Tier II and III regions, is pleased to announce the appointment of Joshua Kurtzig as a Managing Director. As head of ARC China's Beijing office, he joins the company's existing team of over 30 on-the-ground professionals throughout China and will be responsible for business development, execution, and portfolio management.

Prior to joining ARC China, Mr. Kurtzig was a director at DAC Management, an Asia-focused alternative investment manager, where he was responsible for the firm's structured finance and distressed equity group. Previously, Mr. Kurtzig was Director of Financial Advisory Services at Stonebridge International, a Beijing-based advisory firm. While at Stonebridge International, he provided market entry strategies and investment advisory services to large international investors.
Mr. Kurtzig also held the position of Managing Partner at Shanghai Global Partners, a boutique investment management and corporate finance advisory firm. He has also worked at the International Monetary Fund, Citigroup, and PricewaterhouseCoopers. Mr. Kurtzig holds an MBA from the Stern School of Business, an MSc from the London School of Economics, and a BA from the University of Virginia. He speaks Mandarin, French, and Russian.
