Environmental Remediation Veterans Acharya and Theriault Join TerraTherm Management Team

FITCHBURG, MA--(Marketwire - November 18, 2010) - TerraTherm, Inc., a rapidly growing provider of environmental remediation services and technologies, announces that it has added accomplished industry veterans Prakash Acharya and Philip Theriault to its management team as part of its continuing growth strategy. As Engineering Department Manager, Acharya is responsible for TerraTherm's process, detailed engineering, regulatory and permitting efforts. In the role of Field Operations Manager, Theriault will oversee construction and operations of U.S. installations. The rapidly increasing adoption of TerraTherm's In Situ Thermal Desorption (ISTD), advanced Electrical Resistance Heating (ERH), and Steam Enhanced Extraction (SEE) technologies has enabled it to attract and retain top talent to support projects worldwide.

Prakash Acharya brings to TerraTherm more than 25 years of experience in the field, including senior project, engineering and technical management positions at Shaw Environmental and Infrastructure (E&I) where he was responsible for the design and build of numerous thermal projects over the last 14 years. As a senior consultant with IT Corporation, he technically managed large thermal proposals worldwide and was instrumental in winning large contracts. Acharya is also the author of more than 20 published technical papers and was Technical Chair for the Shaw E&I thermal conference calls. "Prakash has a tremendous depth and breadth of experience, including project management, engineering and process design, equipment design and regulatory matters. He will be a very important contributor, helping us build on our long record of technical innovation and successful projects," said Ralph Baker, TerraTherm Chairman and Chief Scientist. Mr. Acharya has both an M.S. in Engineering Management and an M.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Missouri, and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Banaras University.

Philip Theriault further strengthens a deep TerraTherm team with more than 15 years of management experience in the environmental, geotechnical, construction and recycling industries. Prior to joining TerraTherm, Theriault was General Manager of Onsite Treatment Services at Environmental Soil Management, Inc. (EMSI) of New York, LLC. He has managed very large projects and sites including one of the highest production thermal desorption units in the United States, the remediation of 67,000 tons of contaminated soil at a U.S. military installation, 27,000 tons of chlorinated DNAPL impacted soils at a USEPA superfund site and remediation of PCB-contaminated soils at a New York state superfund site. "You could not ask for a more accomplished Field Operations Manager than Phil. He has been hands-on in all phases of major projects including compliance, health and safety, permitting, analytical lab operations, facilities management, financials, and drilling operations. Phil's dynamism and expertise will help us maintain our flawless safety record and the continuous improvement of everything we do in field operations," said John Bierschenk, President and CEO of TerraTherm.
