Unaudited consolidated business results of Lietuvos Energija AB group for Q1-3
2010: 
- income - LTL 1.3 bn (EUR 376.7 m (income during Q1-3 2009 totalled LTL 1.16
bn (EUR 336.9 m )); 
- pre-tax profit - LTL 88.95 m (EUR 25.76 m (during Q1-3 2009 a pre-tax profit
of LTL 47.15 million was earned (EUR 13.66 m )); 
- net profit - LTL 75.7 m (EUR 21.9 m (during Q1-3 2009 a net profit of LTL
36.5 million was earned (EUR 10.6 m )). 
During Q1-3, 2010, acting as the transmission system operator, LITGRID AB, a
daughter company of Lietuvos Energija AB, transmitted 6.72 billion
kilowatt-hours (kWh) of electricity for domestic needs. The volume of
transmitted electricity was lower by 0.2 per cent than in Q1-3 2009. Following
the closure of Ignalina nuclear power plant, generation in Kaunas HPP and
Kruonis PSP, subsidiaries of Lietuvos Energija AB, rose to 897 million kWh (by
17.4 per cent more than in Q1-3 2009). Also there was an increase in
electricity generation at Lietuvos Elektrinė AB, the daughter company of
Lietuvos Energija AB, up to 1.72 bn kWh (approx. 2.4 times more than in Q1-3 of
2009) 
The results of Lietuvos Energija AB group of companies for Q1-3 2010, compared
to Q1-3 2009, were positively influenced by the increased generation in Kaunas
HPP and Kruonis PSP, decreased expenses in generation equipment, decreased
operational expenses in the parent company Lietuvos Energija AB and decreased
depreciation due to the impairment of asset value after its reappraisal at the
end of 2009, according to the index of construction prices. Moreover, the
improved results of Q1-3 2010 were influenced by asset value reappraised in
2009, due to which the decrease in asset value was accounted.
