World Fuel Services Selects EasyLink for Fax Solutions

Cloud-Based Model Reduces Complexity and Improves Application Performance

NORCROSS, Ga., Jan. 11, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- EasyLink Services International Corporation ("EasyLink" or "Company") (Nasdaq:ESIC) (www.EasyLink.com), a global provider of comprehensive messaging services and e-commerce solutions, today announced that World Fuel Services Corporation (World Fuel), a global leader in fuel logistics, specializing in the marketing, sale and distribution of marine, aviation and land fuel products and related services, has selected EasyLink as its provider for on-demand fax services.

World Fuel transitioned from an internally-managed fax server infrastructure to EasyLink's on-demand enterprise fax service. World Fuel uses both EasyLink Desktop Messaging and EasyLink Production Messaging. Desktop Messaging allows their end-users to easily and securely send and receive faxes via e-mail, enabling faster response time for customer orders and rate inquiries. Production Messaging automates and tracks the transmission of mission-critical, application-based transactions from their back-end systems, including the communication of daily fuel price changes, contract administration and invoicing.

The unlimited scalability inherent in EasyLink's cloud-based model improves World Fuel's application performance with guaranteed availability during peak periods. In addition, a geographically-dispersed, fully-redundant architecture assures failover without disruption to World Fuel's global business operations.

"EasyLink is pleased to have World Fuel Services as a customer," said Kevin Maloney, Executive Vice President, Worldwide Sales and Marketing of EasyLink Services. "EasyLink's on-demand fax service allows World Fuel to seamlessly adapt to changing messaging demands without sacrificing productivity or managing extensive IT and telephony resources across geographic areas."

"A hosted fax solution made great sense for World Fuel Services, both from a financial and operational perspective," said Massoud Sedigh, Chief Information Officer of World Fuel Services Corporation. "Not only were we able to reduce our IT hardware footprint and the costs associated with managing a complex fax infrastructure, we were able to increase global scalability and significantly improve our continuity of operations."
