Key events in Pahtavaara in the fourth quarter of 2010

Annual forecast for gold production of 22 500 ounces was achieved already in
November. During the fourth quarter gold production was 5795 ounces, a slightly
lower level compared to the third quarter. The main reason is that higher grade
ore was mined in the third quarter. The good production performance continued
into the fourth quarter. Both ore gold grades as well as the recoveries in the
mill have remained at a level better than expected in October and November.
During December there were minor rock mechanics problems which resulted in lower
production. The problems were addressed in early January and production is now
stable
