Motricity Files to Withdraw Registration Statement on Form S-1


BELLEVUE, Wash., Jan. 26, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Motricity (Nasdaq:MOTR), a leading mobile data services provider, today announced that it has filed an application with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to withdraw its Registration Statement on Form S-1, Registration No. 333-171413, initially filed with the SEC on December 23, 2010.

The Company requested to withdraw its Registration Statement due to the majority selling stockholder electing not to sell shares at this time. The Company was not going to receive proceeds from the proposed offering, unless the overallotment option to purchase additional shares was exercised by the underwriter.
