ST. PAUL, MN--(Marketwire - February 11, 2011) - HealthEast Care System today announced that cardiologists from St. Paul Cardiology will join the organization's newly integrated Heart Care program, effective February 2011.
Joining HealthEast Heart Care as employed cardiologists are Les Forgosh, MD, Kim Loria, MD, and Ted Zukowski, MD.
"We are excited to welcome Drs. Forgosh, Loria and Zukowski. They have well-earned reputations as excellent clinicians who share HealthEast's commitment to the patient-centered experience," said Sara Criger, HealthEast Vice President and CEO of St. Joseph's Hospital in St. Paul.
The announcement represents the latest development at HealthEast Heart Care, which launched its newly integrated program on Jan. 1. At that time, 11 cardiologists from the former St. Paul Heart Clinic and one from Park Nicollet Health Services joined HealthEast as employed physicians. The new structure offers patients clinical advantages as well as the convenience of care and services provided by one organization.
"This model of integration with HealthEast is positive for our patients. It brings us together with respected colleagues in one organization with one shared goal: providing the best care possible for patients with cardiology needs," said Forgosh, president of St. Paul Cardiology.
Patients will see their cardiologists at the newly opened HealthEast Heart Care Clinic in the de Paul Tower of St. Joseph's Hospital in downtown St. Paul, as well as the St. John's Hospital campus location at 1600 St. John's Blvd. in Maplewood. Plans are underway to open a location in Woodbury this spring.
