BOCA RATON, FL--(Marketwire - Apr 21, 2011) - Max's Grille, the ubiquitous Mizner Park restaurant that helped define South Florida cuisine in the 1980s is currently celebrating its the 20th Anniversary.
Max's Grille first opened its doors in 1991 and has remained steady and strong throughout the economic ups and downs of the last two decades. This Boca Raton institution was a Mizner Park flagship and is the only original restaurant and only one of two original tenants to still be located in Mizner Park.
Dennis Max attributes the restaurant's success to several factors: friendly and efficient staff that make every guest feel welcome, consistency, high quality food, and location.
Max's Grille's contemporary menu with Asian and Latin influences, paired with a splendid array of wine, is updated daily and seasonally but maintains its popular signature dishes, including meatloaf, radiatore pasta, steaks, grilled fish, chopped salad, and complimentary crispy breadsticks and hummus served to each table.
In the early 1980s, after a decade in the restaurant business, Dennis Max launched Unique Restaurant Concepts. Its inaugural project, Café Max, opened in 1984 in Pompano Beach, sparking a culinary revolution and generating interest in the fresh new cuisine from California. Max built on this success, following with a string of ventures -- Max's Place in North Miami, Maxaluna in Boca Raton and Brasserie Max in Plantation, positioning Unique and South Florida on the national restaurant industry radar. Business continued to grow throughout the 1990s -- first with Max's Grille, and then into Miami Beach's Art Deco District with ventures like Astor Place and Max's South Beach. Most of the 30 restaurant ventures were successfully sold.
Today, Dennis Max continues to work closely with management and chefs at Max's Grille and is planning two new Palm Beach County ventures in 2011. In June, Max will open Max's Harvest in Delray Beach's Pineapple Grove, and in the fall he'll open an Italian restaurant in the Regency Court at Woodfield, adjacent to Woodfield Country Club, in West Boca Raton on Yamato and Jog Roads.
